About Kakobuy

Kakobuy is one of the highest-traffic China shopping agents, operated by EVERYDAY GO INC. It runs an end-to-end service: it buys from Chinese marketplaces on your behalf, receives the goods at its own warehouse, inspects and photographs them, and forwards the parcel internationally. Its own materials cite more than 6.5 million monthly visitors, with the largest user bases in Poland, the United States, Spain, Canada and the United Kingdom.

For bundle planning, the important part is the sequence rather than the storefront. Items do not ship to you directly; they ship to Kakobuy's warehouse, where they sit for up to 100 days while you keep adding spreadsheet finds. Each item gets a free QC check with three photos, and you decide whether it joins the consolidation or goes back. Only when you submit the parcel do you choose a line and pay international freight.

Costs are relatively plain. Item price and China domestic shipping are converted at a rate of 6.19 CNY per USD, a payment fee of about 4.5% is added, and international shipping plus any optional services are charged at the parcel stage. Kakobuy states that it does not add a separate agent service fee, and the optional services are listed with individual prices rather than bundled into the freight quote.

Our testing team treated Kakobuy as a consolidation tool rather than a one-off checkout: we ordered across several sellers, watched QC photos as each item checked in, and only then submitted a combined parcel. That flow works, but it rewards bookkeeping. The buyers who get burned are usually the ones who let an early item age in storage while waiting on a late seller, or who approve a cheap item quickly and discover the problem after the parcel has left China.

Shopping-agent guide

A Kakobuy bundle is built in two payments and one decision point in between. The first payment buys the goods and brings them to China; the second pays to send the combined parcel abroad. Everything about smart bundling happens in the gap between the two.

Start with a bundle list, not a checkout. Note each item's expected weight, the seller's usual dispatch time and whether it is returnable. Custom or oversized items, printed jerseys and extra-large shoe sizes are commonly non-returnable, and prohibited goods cannot leave China at all however well they are packed. Perfume is typically limited to a single 100-150 ml bottle per parcel, and electronics need a dedicated channel, so plan those as separate shipments rather than adding them to the main box.

Stage the orders. Sellers usually dispatch within 48-72 hours; if nothing has shipped after five days it is usually a stock issue, and you can ask Kakobuy for a refund. Order the slowest sellers first, so the fast ones do not sit in storage burning days while you wait.

Clear QC before you add anything to the parcel. Three free photos per item are enough to catch a wrong colourway, wrong size or obvious damage, but not to judge materials or stitching. If an item is wrong, the return or exchange request has to go in within five days. Anything you leave unresolved risks becoming unreturnable before the bundle is complete.

Prepare the consolidation. Warehouse storage is free for 100 days from check-in, with an email reminder before it expires; extensions cost $1.61 per order per 30 days as of April 2026. Before submitting, decide on packaging: vacuum packaging ($3.23 per parcel) reduces volume on soft goods, reinforcement ($1.61) protects boxed items, package preview ($2.90) gives you the packed weight before you commit, and package photos are free. Volumetric weight, not just scale weight, drives the quote, so bulky shoe boxes are worth removing.

Split before you pay. A single parcel above roughly 10 kg is far more likely to be classified as commercial by customs, and so is a parcel containing many identical items. Two smaller parcels often cost less in duty and stress than one heavy one. Check your destination's threshold before deciding: the US reference figure is $800, the UK £15, the EU €22, Spain $30, Canada CAD 20, Japan $130, South Korea $150, Singapore and New Zealand $300, Australia AUD 1,000 and Switzerland CHF 100 (with VAT starting at CHF 65). These figures are the source's reference table, not current legal advice.

Pick the route, then pay. Kakobuy's US duty-free dedicated line starts at about $38.50 for 1 kg with 7-13 day transit and handles declaration; European parcels often move through DHL Germany and similar consolidation services. Duty-free routes cost roughly $5-$10 more per parcel than standard ones, which is usually the right trade for a high-value bundle. Pay with a card or PayPal and expect the payment fee to land on top of the freight quote.

Caution: quotes and policies move. The storage, fee and service prices above are as published in April 2026, and the shipping figure is an example rather than a quote. Confirm the live numbers on your own parcel before you submit, especially if your bundle has been sitting in storage for weeks.

Is Kakobuy legit?
Kakobuy is a real, operating business rather than a clone site. It has run since 2023, publishes a fee structure, accepts buyer-protected payment rails such as PayPal and cards, and its parent company, EVERYDAY GO INC, is named in its own materials. In our test orders the buying, warehouse check-in and QC photo stages all behaved as documented. The realistic risk is not disappearance but friction: dispute handling and refunds are the stages where buyers most often get frustrated, so keep unboxing videos on expensive parcels and resolve QC issues inside the five-day window.
Why Kakobuy suits bundle planning
The 100-day free storage window is the feature that matters for consolidation. Buy from four sellers across six weeks, approve each item as its photos land, then pay one freight quote instead of four. Combine that with three free QC photos per item and a published schedule of optional parcel services, and the whole cost of a bundle can be estimated before the second payment. Traffic figures cited by the platform (more than 6.5 million monthly visitors, with Europe as its strongest region) also mean the shipping line menu is broad and the spreadsheet ecosystem around it is large.
What you actually pay
Kakobuy's stated structure is item price plus China domestic shipping at a 6.19 CNY/USD rate, a payment fee of about 4.5%, international freight, any duties, and optional parcel services. Its own worked example: a 24.23 yuan item with 2.43 yuan domestic shipping ends at roughly $1.10, or 28.26 yuan, once fees are applied. Kakobuy says it does not charge a separate agent service fee, and the value-added services are individually priced rather than hidden in the freight quote. New accounts also receive a shipping coupon bundle, which applies to international freight rather than item prices.
Duty thresholds and the 10 kg rule
Packages declared below a country's threshold are generally not dutiable, though false declarations are the buyer's problem. Reference thresholds cited by Kakobuy: United States $800, Japan $130, South Korea $150, New Zealand and Singapore $300, Spain $30, Canada CAD 20, United Kingdom £15, EU €22, Switzerland CHF 100 (VAT from CHF 65), Australia AUD 1,000. Kakobuy reports that only about 0.3% of its parcels are actually charged duty. Two practical cautions: weight and repetition decide whether customs reads a parcel as commercial, with anything above roughly 10 kg at high risk, so split large bundles; and on non-duty-free routes clearance fees, returns and destruction costs are the recipient's responsibility.
Optional services priced per bundle
Order-stage extras: customised photography at $0.32 per photo and priority buying at $0.80 per item order. Parcel-stage extras: storage extension at $1.61 per order for 30 days, item reinforcement at $1.61 per instance, free package photography, package preview at $2.90, and vacuum packaging at $3.23 per parcel. For consolidation, package preview and vacuum packaging are the two that most often pay for themselves, because both attack volumetric weight, which is what freight quotes are actually built on. Prices are as published in April 2026 and should be re-checked at checkout.
Bundle checklist before you press submit
One: every item accepted after QC, with no open dispute or pending exchange. Two: no restricted category mixed in, such as perfume beyond one bottle, loose batteries or electronics that need a special channel. Three: oldest item still inside the 100-day window. Four: packed weight and packed value checked against your destination's duty threshold, and against the informal 10 kg commercial-parcel line. Five: shoe boxes and excess retail packaging removed, or vacuum packaging selected, so volumetric weight does not inflate the quote. Six: a route chosen with the duty-free premium ($5-$10 more per parcel) weighed against the value of the contents. Seven: duties budgeted separately, since clearance costs on standard routes land on you.
What works well
A 100-day free storage window makes multi-seller bundle planning realistic instead of a race against the clock
Three free QC photos per item arrive before consolidation, so a bad unit can be returned while it is still in China
Transparent pricing: item cost and domestic shipping at a 6.19 rate, about 4.5% in payment fees, plus freight and optional services
Spreadsheet-friendly sourcing across Taobao, Tmall, JD.com, 1688 and Weidian, with manual forms for Weidian, Xianyu and WeChat sellers
Duty-free line options for US parcels, with Kakobuy handling declaration on those routes
Value-added services are priced per order or per item, so a bundle's packaging cost can be estimated in advance
What to check
Returns and exchanges must be requested within 5 days of the QC result; a bundle that waits for a slow seller can push an item past that window
Warehouse QC checks colour, size, model and visible damage only, not materials, workmanship or electronics function, so request extra photos for expensive pieces
Duty-free routes cost roughly $5-$10 more per parcel than standard routes; non-duty-free routes leave clearance and duties to you
Parcels over 10 kg, or parcels packed with many identical items, are more likely to be treated as commercial by customs
Storage is capped at 100 days and extensions are charged ($1.61 per order per 30 days as of April 2026), and unsubmitted parcels can be treated as abandoned
Optional services add up per parcel: vacuum packaging $3.23, reinforcement $1.61, package preview $2.90, priority buying $0.80 per item
